What will you do?

As an HR Business Partner at CoolGames in Amsterdam, you are the point of contact for everything related to HR. You will work in an international office with colleagues from more than 15 different countries: diversity, dynamics and creativity guaranteed. Whether it concerns onboarding, development, well-being or guiding change processes: you ensure that CoolGames employees feel seen, heard and supported.

In this role:

You guide the CoolGames management team in HR change processes and help our growing organization to remain agile.

You advise managers and employees on HR matters, from strategic to operational level.

You play an active role in the recruitment and onboarding process

You work on topics such as:

Strengthening the HR positioning within CoolGames;

Vitality, absenteeism and well-being;

A sustainable remote work structure; the fiscal and legal aspects of highly skilled migrants, the outsourcing of work to another country;

Streamlining and monitoring the payroll administration (the payroll is outsourced, you monitor the quality);

And of course: optimizing our HR processes.

Where will you end up?

You will become part of the central HR team of Keesing Media Group: a close-knit team consisting of: Head of HR, an HR advisor, an HR officer, a recruiter and a communications advisor. You will work closely with the CEO and management of CoolGames. In this role, you will formally report to the Head of HR of Keesing Media Group and will be operationally managed by the management of CoolGames. You will mainly work at our CoolGames office in Amsterdam. One day a week, you will work from the head office of Keesing Media Group in Amsterdam Sloterdijk.

Requirements

What do you bring to the table?

  • 5-10 years of experience as an HR adviser in a dynamic, international or fast-growing environment.
  • You can easily switch between strategic and operational work.
  • You are proactive, solution-oriented and have a strong personality.
  • You speak and write good English; English is the working language in the office and in our processes.

Cross Platform Developer (remote, full time)

About the role  

This role sits at the intersection of game technology, platform requirements, and smooth collaboration. You’ll be responsible for the tech and coordination needed to bring our games to new and existing platforms. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery, consistent performance, and a great player experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and maintaining the technology that supports platform integration and multi-platform deployment
  • Integrating platform SDKs, analytics tools, and advertising solutions into our casual games.
  • Coordinating with internal developers and external teams to align on requirements, priorities, and delivery timelines.
  • Extending and refining our platform abstraction libraries to support new platform features and deployment needs.
  • Reviewing and improving code to ensure quality, consistency, and maintainability across integrations.
  • Monitoring performance and implementing improvements where needed.
  • Keeping SDKs and integration-related components up-to-date, compliant, and stable.

Supporting cross-functional teams with technical expertise during planning, implementation, and rollout phases.
Staying informed about new technologies and trends in platform integration, game publishing, and web development.

Requirements

About you

You like to troubleshoot technical problems and try to solve the root cause. You are proactive and used to taking ownership and responsibility. You see yourself as a good team player and are ready to take the lead on initiatives.

  • Solid experience in software development, preferably with a focus on games or web-based products.
  • Hands-on experience integrating third-party SDKs, analytics tools, and advertising solutions.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, and a strong understanding of browsers and modern web technologies.
  • A methodical approach to debugging and solving problems at the root cause.
  • Familiarity with performance profiling and techniques for optimizing web games.
  • Clear communication skills. You’re comfortable aligning with product managers, game developers, and external platform partners.
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to independently manage tasks while keeping others informed.
  • An interest in casual games and how to get them in front of players

As a Backend Developer at CoolGames, you’ll design, develop, and maintain reliable and scalable backend systems using Golang, supporting our portfolio of casual web games. Your work will directly impact millions of players worldwide.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • At least 5 years of professional backend development experience;
  • Strong proficiency in Golang;
  • Solid knowledge of Linux environments and infrastructure best practices;

  • Strong communication skills with excellent English proficiency;
  • Experience with Git and automation pipelines;
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure);

About the role

  • As Financial Accountant, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of finance and accounting tasks, including:
  • Managing the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Revenue Statements
  • Preparing and filing VAT returns and maintaining fixed asset records
  • Supporting monthly and quarterly closings, including balance sheet reconciliations

About you

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar financial/accounting role
  • A MBO+ or HBO/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) — a must, Dutch is a great plus
  • Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP; IFRS experience is a plus
  • Experience with Twinfield, Business Central and Basecone is a bonus
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reporting)

You will be part of a multidisciplinary development team collaborating with game designers, game artists, quality assurance engineers, and fellow game developers.
